Last Friday, a turnover ceremony was held at Venue 88, General Santos City, to mark the leadership transition in the Department of Education’s Sarangani Division. Gildo G. Mosqueda, CEO VI, who had been serving as the Schools Division Superintendent, officially handed over his responsibilities and authority to Ruth L. Estacio, CESO VI, who was assigned as the new Superintendent.
Attended by various DepEd officials, educators, and stakeholders in the education sector, the occasion marked the start of a new era for DepEd Sarangani.
The turnover ceremony was an opportunity for Mosqueda to bid farewell to his colleagues, staff, and friends, and for them to express their appreciation for his leadership and contribution to the division’s growth and success.

During the turnover ceremony, Mosqueda presented Estacio with a copy of the Division Education Development Plan, symbolizing the official transfer of leadership.
In his remarks, Mosqueda expressed his gratitude to the educators and staff of DepEd Sarangani, saying that it was an honor to have served as their leader for many years.
Estacio, in turn, thanked Mosqueda for his guidance and mentorship and vowed to continue the division’s tradition of excellence. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving the division’s goals and called on everyone to work together to provide the best possible education to the students of Sarangani.
The attendees expressed their excitement and enthusiasm for Estacio’s appointment and shared their hopes and expectations for the division’s future under her leadership.
